Ito is a community yosakoi dance program located in San Francisco Japantown. Yosakoi is an energetic dance style that combines traditional movements (such as the fishermen's dance "Soran Bushi") with modern music. The moves highlight water imagery, as the dancers move together to form a powerful wave. Our name "Ito" (糸 "Tapestry") emphasizes the relationships woven together between members of a community.
